ABU DHABI WINS BEST INTERNATIONAL FAMILY HOLIDAY DESTINATION AWARD

All India, 13th August 2015 : Abu Dhabi is generating a high level of interest as a multi-faceted tourism destination for the upwardly-mobile aspirational Indian traveller. Continuing the high focus and emphasis on India as the destination’s leading overseas source market for hotel guests; Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) is attracting Family Travellers from key gateways of India.

Abu Dhabi recently received the award of Best International Family Holiday Destination at a glittering award ceremony held at Delhi. The awards were presented at a high-profile function organized by one of the leading travel trade publications, Today’s Traveller.

The chief guest was the Hon’ble Minister of State, for Civil Aviation, Tourism and Culture, Govt. of India, Dr Mahesh Sharma who presented the award to Bejan Dinshaw, Country Manager, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority – India Office.

Abu Dhabi offers fresh and exotic attractions with a blend of both traditional and the modern. It is growing as a choice destination for leisure, special interest, destination weddings, honeymooners, niche travellers and also an increasing MICE movement. India is currently Abu Dhabi’s leading overseas source market with over 18% growth for Jan-June 2015.
