Beneath the shelter of the surrounding pine trees and a large, light-wood pergola, Ilios is a cool oasis boasting wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea. The understated decor designed by the talented Samy Chams features pastel colours alongside a variety of succulents which grow on the French Riviera.

The food is as sunny as the climate, with creative and delicate dishes prepared by chef Mattia Bonnisoli using seasonal produce with Mediterranean flavours.

Ilios can be reached via the main entrance of Le Méridien Beach Plaza hotel at 22 Avenue Princesse Grace. It also has sea access thanks to the hotel’s facilities: a private pontoon and a shuttle boat service for yachts anchored in the Bay of Monaco can be booked on request.

The new Ilios concept is the result of a collaboration between hotel manager Manuel de Vasconcelos and Pascal Ramette, who is behind several chic and fashionable addresses frequented by the jet set and is famous the world over in places like New York, St Barts and St Tropez. Both men want to give Monaco’s social life a boost with a new glamourous and prestigious place at the foot of the Rock!
