All India, 17th November 2015: Israel is rapidly gaining popularity in India as an emerging tourist destination. The fact is truly visible, as Israel has witnessed a phenomenal growth of 44% of Indian tourist arrivals in the month of October 2015 as compared to October 2014. Not only India, but the tourist arrivals from countries like China (116%), Portugal (97%), Germany (64%) and many other countries also have seen a significant increase in October 2015. United States have seen a 4% growth while Africa has seen 2% growth from January to October 2015 as compared to January to October 2014. Total percentage of tourist arrivals to Israel has increased by 5% in October 2015 as compared to the same period in 2014. These notable increase in tourist arrivals, has given a great boost to the tourism of Israel.

Israel is a blend of history, tradition and modern cosmopolitan experience. The destination offers tourism aspects for all kind of age groups and this is evident from the latest increase in Indian arrivals. We are working on further enhancing the destination visibility through traditional as well as online media and also looking at India as a significant emerging market for the destination”.

The city of Tel Aviv has both historic and modern attractions and is known for its amusing nightlife.
