All India, 11 May 2022: From 26 to 29 May 2022, sport and glamour will come together at the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, the highlight of the year. In tune with the roar of the engines, a frenzy takes over the city of Monaco. Organised since 1929 by the Automobile Club de Monaco, the Formula 1 race in the Principality is one of the most prestigious in the world, both for its unique circuit, laid out in the streets of the city and reputed to be very demanding, and for the champions who have marked its history.

With the 13th Grand Prix Historique (from May 13 – 15, 2022) and the 79th Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Principality is set to host a thrilling racing season. The Principality also hosted the 5th edition of Monaco ePrix, which is dedicated to Formula E electric vehicles, on April 30, 2022.  During the racing season, the circuit takes over the streets in the Port Hercules, Monte-Carlo and Condamine districts.

Visiting Monaco during the Formula One race means enjoying intense experiences in a unique atmosphere. The city’s population triples as more than 100,000 visitors from all over the world come to watch this highlight of the F1 calendar, bringing together motorsports fans and international jetsetters alike.

Motorsport in Monaco also means the Grand Prix Historique. Organized since 1997 by the Automobile Club de Monaco, it is held every other year a few days before the prestigious F1 World Championship race. It takes place on the same circuit as the Monaco GP, through the heart of the city. The only sizeable difference is the speed!

With the Historique Grand Prix, the Formula 1 GP and the E-Prix, past, present and future will come together in Monaco for an unprecedented month of racing in the streets of the Principality. There are guaranteed thrills in store along the 3.34 kilometre temporary track that winds through the heart of Monaco itself, the shortest of all the F1 world championship circuits!

The Principality of Monaco remains vigilant and informed of the development in the international health situation. All precautionary measures are applied and taken to ensure a better safety for all.
