President Kenyatta launches ‘Make It Kenya’
All India, 10th September 2015 : President Uhuru Kenyatta, officially launched Make it Kenya, a new international brand campaign that has been introduced by the Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism (MEAACT) to promote and enhance Kenyas position as a global leader in tourism, commerce and investment.
The launch included the activation of a new digital portal MakeItKenya.com and supporting social media platforms to tell Kenyas investment and tourism story to the world. The digital elements have been specifically designed as a source of rich sharable content that will connect the world to Kenya, through peoples computers, smart phones and digital devices.
During the launch, President Kenyatta posted the first messages to Make It Kenyas social media platforms and called on the people of Kenya to support the campaign: Make It Kenya is an exciting development and I applaud the Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism and Brand Kenya for the timing and their bold and innovative approach for driving Kenyas story to the world.
The timing for the launch of the Make It Kenya campaign has been carefully coordinated to build on the success and positive feedback that the country has received following President Obamas visit, the hosting of the GES and the expected visit to Kenya by the Pope later this year.
